PERSONAL PROFILE
IMechE EngTech accredited Engineer with 10 years’ experience working at all stages of a project lifecycle, from proposal generation to concept and design, validation and manufacture. I’ve worked across several industrial sectors and welcome new challenges, often with steep learning curves.
In my spare time I enjoy getting out and about exploring, whether it be a new country, city, village or hike across the countryside. I’ve also enjoyed taking on the challenge of training my puppy Cooper, a miniature dachshund with a big personality.

INTERNSHIPS
Research Engineer | Manufacturing Technology Centre | February 2019 - present
Delivered a wide range of projects for both internal and external stakeholders, employing various disciplines including mechanical design, research and testing and report writing and presentation. I’ve taken a leading role on several projects from both a project delivery and a mechanical design standpoint, more recently on a project completing research and testing of advanced fixturing techniques using 3D-printing technology.
Research Technician | Manufacturing Technology Centre | August 2015 – February 2019
Continued my development from an Apprentice Technician in the CNC Machine tools team and programmed, set and operated large 5 axis machines. Developed practical skills and knowledge of non-conventional machining techniques and 3D-printing technologies.
Apprentice Technician | Manufacturing Technology Centre | August 2011 – August 2015
Developed practical skills in tool room fitting and mechanical assembly. Programming, setting, and operating of manual and CNC machines, including vertical mills of 3, 3+2 axis and 3 and 4 axis lathes. 1st Principle’s Inspection, GD&T techniques and programming operating of CMMs.
Lab Technician | Bridgnorth Aluminium Ltd | 2010 - 2011
Volunteering my time at Bridgnorth Aluminium during my studies I worked within the laboratory where I analysed process fluids relating to the manufacturing processes that they operate. My responsibilities included testing - through various methods, a range of process fluids and recording the results for monitoring.

INTERESTS
My interests include socialising with friends and family, playing football and photography. I also enjoy exploring new places and home DIY/ Projects, having designed and built my own 3axis CNC router and modifying a CO2 laser engraver.
